Fisher, Pepperwood’s head chef from the Garden’s
Café, takes you through step-by-step tips on making it
a successful season. He demonstrates marinating and
barbequing chicken, fish and red meat as well as
complementary side dishes. What better way to start
the summer entertaining than with the “tools” to
cook up a storm. Bring an appetite.

Learn to see what’s in your tea!

Tea has been a part of our world for centuries and so
has tasseomancy or tassology which is the method of
interpreting the patterns in tea or better known as tea
leaf reading. Learn the history of tea, tea reading and
what teas are best to do this. Discover the nuances of
teapots, teacups and saucers and their significance in
the tasseomancer’s process. Amy Taylor teaches you
how to brew a proper cup of tea for a reading and
how to set the mood for the inquirer. This workshop
is taught with much interaction and hands-on
experiences. Handouts and actual readings
are included.

our restoration efforts and the plants and wildlife.
We’ll supply the canoes, paddles and lifejackets, but
don’t forget to bring your camera and binoculars. The
program is 21/2 hours in length. Parties must have
experience steering a canoe. Canoes have single
bench seats only so bring pads for extra comfort. In
the event of high winds or rain, call the Weather
Update Line at ext. 404.
